Meet Meghan

Why did you decide to become a beader?  Why NETwork Against Malaria?
I wanted to become apart of NETwork Against Malaria because I strongly support their mission of helping provide Malaria nets to families in Uganda. Malaria is a devastating disease, and it is unacceptable that this preventable disease takes the lives of so many people. Unlike many of the other online organizations, I felt like I could really make a personal impact on the Ugandan

people. I also feel that I know exactly where my money is going, and who it is going to. The focus of distributing the nets to schoolchildren and families is practical and effective.
The beading aspect of NETwork makes it unique and sets it apart from other organizations. Making the beautiful bracelets with friends is fun and rewarding knowing that the money made will save many lives. I love being a NETwork Against Malaria Beader and I would strongly encourage others to jump in and help this worthy cause!

What is something you would like NETwork suppporters to know about you or a fun fact?

Why did you decide to become a beader?
I decided to become a beader when I realized how devastating malaria is to the country of Uganda. Those small paper beads can stretch across the world and change lives by fighting malaria. I became a beader so I could use my skills to make a difference in the lives of innocent people affected by that ancient disease.

Why NETwork Against Malaria?

I chose to support NETwork Against Malaria because it is a simple and beautiful way to practice creative skills, get involved in the community, and help others.
